How much do I need for a down payment on a house in Maple Grove?
It depends on the loan. FHA loans allow as little as 3.5 percent down, some conventional programs allow 3 percent for first-time buyers, and VA and USDA loans can be zero down for eligible buyers. You also need money for closing costs, so ask your lender for a full estimate.
How can I take advantage of first time home buyer programs to help me buy a home?
Down payment assistance and other similar programs help you come up with the cash needed to buy a home. They can come in the form of grants or loans and you have to qualify based on your income and a few other factors. Reach out to me and I can connect you with a lender that knows these programs well.
How much is my house worth in Maple Grove?

Can you sell a house while it's in probate in Minnesota?
Yes, once the court has appointed a personal representative with authority to sell. The house can be cleaned out and prepped before then, but the sale can't close until that authority is in place. Your attorney will tell you if any court approval is needed before closing.
Should I sell my house first or buy first?
It depends on your equity, your savings and what your lender will approve. Selling first gives you certainty on budget, while buying first means one move. I'll walk through all of your options with actual numbers.
Is house hacking still worth it with higher interest rates?
In many cases, yes. Higher rates raise the payment, which makes the rent from a second unit or rented rooms more valuable. Run the numbers on your real monthly cost after rent before you decide.
What is the median home price in Maple Grove?
For single-family homes, $500,000, based on 514 warranty-deed sales in Hennepin County records from September 2025 through August 2026. Townhomes had a median of $299,900 and condos $280,000.
